Shipped a Shopify-featured product at Retailogists, modernised national data pipelines at Statistics Canada, and now build counter-UAS simulation tools for uOttawa research.

Hands-free patient vitals HUD · 1st place, Civic Challenge, Hack the Hill 3

  • Won 1st place in the Civic Challenge, one of the two major tracks at Hack the Hill 3, with Aashir Alam, Muhammad Sheikh and Trevor Choi
  • Built a hands-free heads-up display that overlays live patient information into an EMS responder's field of view, using a camera, Presage contactless sensing, a Raspberry Pi and VR glasses
  • Shows heart rate, breathing rate, arterial pressure and live waveforms, with heart rate accurate to within ±5 BPM
  • Lets a responder keep assessing and treating a patient while receiving physiological data in real time; the same system could let hospital staff passively monitor patients and surface changes sooner
  • Combined embedded systems, computer vision, real-time sensing, hardware and human-computer interaction into one working device
